German president in Istanbul on first leg of 3-day Türkiye visit
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on April 22 arrived in Istanbul as he embarked on a three-day tour to Türkiye, marking his first visit to the country in his seven-year duty as the head of the state.

Trade with Israel declines amid Gaza war: Minister
The bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Israel has declined by 33 percent between Oct. 7 and March 20, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat has said.
"Public institutions and state-owned companies never do business with Israel," Bolat said in an interview with private broadcaster 24 TV.

Foreign tourist arrivals in Türkiye soar 23 percent
Some 2.3 million foreign tourists visited Türkiye in February, pointing to a strong 22.6 percent increase from the same month of last year, data from the Tourism and Culture Ministry have shown.
