The average monthly wage in Bulgaria will exceed BGN 1,000 in 2017, forecast experts of UniCredit Group. The forecast was made at the financial forum Euromoney in Vienna, reported BTA.

A total of BGN 170 000 were stolen in the armed robbery targeting the UniCredit Bulbank branch located in the Lyulin 7 neighbourhood of the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on Tuesday.

Initial estimates suggested that around BGN 1000 000 had been stolen.

In a statement on Wednesday, the bank assured that the branch is open and is operating as usual.

Two armed robbers have made off with a "large sum of money" from an office of Bulgaria's UniCredit Bulbank in Sofia, bTV reported on Tuesday.
