Putin will not accept ultimatums over Ukraine: Kremlin
Russia said Feb. 9 that President Vladimir Putin would not tolerate any ultimatums over Ukraine after a report said Germany had given him until Wednesday to agree a peace plan or face new sanctions.
"We've already said everything about the tone of the negotiations," Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Russian radio.
WSJ: Greece is in danger of running out of cash soon
According to Wall Street Journal report, Greece is in danger of running out of cash in weeks.
As WSJ indicates, if Eurozone officials didn’t make the above decision then Greece would have been able to take a breather for about 4-6 months, which is enough according to the Greek Government to conclude negotiations.
US training 3,600 in Iraq but Syrian forces need more time
The Pentagon confirmed Jan. 23 that it has begun training 3,600 Iraqi and Kurdish forces, but has yet to begin recruiting and actively vetting their Syrian counterparts.
In Iraq, the U.S. and coalition partners have begun training forces at four sites across the country, including al-Assad, Camp Taji in Baghdad Governorate, Bismaya and Erbil.

Mogherini Calls on Russia to Avoid Involving Balkans in Dispute over Ukraine
EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini has called on Russia not to involve Southeast Europe in the Moscow-Brussels dispute over the Ukraine crisis.
Mogherini's comments come after Russia announced earlier this week it was scrapping the South Stream gas pipeline project, citing Bulgaria's reluctance to unfreeze construction.
