Serbian Davis Cup team to go to India for play-off tie
LONDON - The Serbian tennis team will take on India in a play-off tie, trying to keep its spot in the Davis Cup World Group, the London draw decided on Tuesday.
The matches will take place from September 12-14, and India will play a host.
Jankovic fails to qualify for Charleston WTA semifinal
CHARLESTON - Serbia's female tennis player Jelena Jankovic failed to qualify for the Charleston WTA semifinal as she lost the quarterfinal match to Canada's Eugenie Bouchard late on Friday, 2-1 (6-3, 4-6, 6-3).
This was the third match between the 8th and 20th player on the WTA list and the second victory for the young Canadian player.

Ana Ivanovic reaches Monterrey third round
MONTERREY - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic reached the third round of the WTA tennis tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, by beating Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 6-4, 6-2 early Friday.
Ivanovic's next opponent will be Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia, who won her second round match after Japan's Ayumi Morita retired after the first set due to injury.
Rybarikova won the first set 6-4.

Jelena Jankovic reaches Charleston quarter-finals
CHARLESTON - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic reached the quarter-finals of the WTA tennis tournament in Charleston by beating Ajla Tomljanovic of Croatia 7-5, 6-1 late Thursday.
Jankovic's next opponent will be Eugenie Bouchard of Canada, who beat Venus Williams of the United States 2-1.

Bulgaria to Meet Canada in Football Friendly

MONTERREY - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic reached the second round of the WTA tennis tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, by beating Urszula Radwanska of Poland 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 early Wednesday.
In the next round, Ivanovic will face Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada, who beat Marcela Zacarías of Mexico 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.
