Gabriel Resources is to axe 373 jobs, around 80 per cent of its workforce in Romania, citing “unjustifiably long delays” in the approval of the gold mining project at Rosia Montana, in central Transylvania.

Four Bulgarians Arrested in Canada For ATM Fraud
The Quebec provincial police arrested on Thursday four Canadian citizens of Bulgarian origin for alleged ATM fraud.
Their names are Vassilina Dimitrova, 48, Borislav Petrov, 53, Iren Vasilev Atanasov, 42 and the alleged ringleader Martin Antonov Kuzov, 52.
The arrests took place near Montreal and Toronto. Four other suspects are still on the loose.

Zimonjic, Nestor beaten in Miami doubles quarter-finals
MIAMI - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor of Canada failed to reach the doubles semi-finals of the Miami Masters Series 1000 tennis tournament after losing to Ryan Harrison and Jack Sock of the United States 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) early Thursday.
Ukraine, IMF Agree USD 18 B Rescue Deal
Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund have signed a deal granting a USD 14-18 B package to the country, IMF mission's head Nikolay Gueorguiev has announced.
Under the new agreement, up to USD 27 B more could be allocated to Kiev over the next two years.

Zimonjic, Nestor reach doubles quarterfinals in Miami
MIAMI - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Canada's Daniel Nestor have reached the men's doubles quarterfinals at the AT Masters tournament in Miami.
They beat Robin Haase of Netherlands and Jonathan Murray of the UK 6-2 6-4 on Monday.
Their next match will be against Ryan Harrison and Jack Sock from the US.
The prize fund in Miami is USD 5.64 million.
