Kolydas warns of high temperatures next week

Theodoros Kolydas warns of the weather of the week starting tomorrow in a new post.

As the well-known meteorologist explains, it was a temporary drop in temperature in Athens. The mercury, in the coming days, will be at a high level for the season and more specifically about 5 degrees Celsius above.

Vucevic, Toskovski discuss Serbia-North Macedonia bilateral relations

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic met with North Macedonian Interior Minister Panco Toskovski in Belgrade on Friday to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation on security and in other fields of importance to the citizens of the two states, the PM's office said in a statement.

European Investment Bank lends DEPA 390 million euros

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending Greek energy company DEPA Commercial a total of 390 million euros to build and operate solar-energy farms across the country.

The EIB funding covers 75% of total cost of the new photovoltaic (PV) sites, which is expected to reach up to €521 million. DEPA Commercial will create PV farms in western Macedonia, Thessaly and Central Greece.

The weather will be generally clear across the country today, with clouds developing only in the mainland areas during the midday and afternoon hours. In Epirus, western Macedonia, and possibly the mountainous regions of western Central Greece and the Peloponnese, there will be occasional local showers and isolated thunderstorms.

High fire risk forecast for Sunday in five regions

Greek authorities have issued a fire hazard warning for five regions on Sunday, as high temperatures continued to spark wildfires in several parts of the country.

According to the prediction map published by the Civil Protection Agency, the regions are considered to be at very high risk of wildfires, ranking at Level 4 (orange) out of a maximum of 5.
