Renaissance Ensemble to celebrate 45th anniversary
BELGRADE - Europe's oldest early and traditional music ensemble, the Belgrade-based Renaissance Ensemble, will on October 29 mark its 45th anniversary with a concert at the Fresco Gallery, the venue of their first public performance.
Meeting of Bulgarian-language reporters in Dimitrovgrad
BELGRADE - Journalists of around 70 desks reporting in the Bulgarian language worldwide met at the 10th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media in Dimitrovgrad on Wednesday.

Special award for film Monument to Michael Jackson
BELGRADE - Darko Lungulov's film Monument to Michael Jackson has won the Special Award of the Jury at the Let's Cee film festival in Vienna.
The jury stated that the film had captured them with its vivid story located in Serbia that transforms a serious topic with an original twist and excellent acting into a great pleasure for the audience.
Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra thrills Washington audience
BELGRADE - The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra held their third concert within the U.S. tour in the Strathmore Music Hall in Washington and the audience stood up for the performance of the national anthems of the U.S. and Serbia at the beginning of the event, and called for an encore at the end of the concert.
Lovefest nominated for best medium-sized European festival
VRNJACKA BANJA, - Lovefest, Serbia's biggest festival of love that takes place in the spa town of Vrnjacka Banja, central Serbia, has been nominated for the best medium-sized European festival, the title granted by the European Festival Awards (EFA).
Lovefest found itself among 70 popular events from 20 countries.
Jazz Musicians To Play At Sofia's Brick Roads Music Festival
Jazz musicians from around South Eastern Europe and elsewhere on the continent will be in the Bulgarian capital city for the Brick Roads Sofia Music Festival on October 10 and 11 2014.
The first night of the programme sees the Vasil Hadzimanov Band from Serbia performing at 7pm, followed by Greece's Kostas Theodorou "Lost Anthropology" at 9pm.
Kids Fest in Serbia October 13-19
BELGRADE - Children's film festival Kids Fest will be held in cinemas in over 30 cities across Serbia from October 13-19.
The 10th Kids Fest will shows 14 premiers, and this year's animated, feature and documentary films are arriving from the U.S., France, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Croatia.
Standing ovations for Mikhalkov at Sava Center
BELGRADE - The Sava Center's Grand Hall was filled to capacity on Friday evening for the world premiere of 'Sunstroke', a film by renowned Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov.
Among the celebrities seen on the red carpet outside the Sava Center, decorated on this occasion with scenes from the movie, was Serbian film director Emir Kusturica.
