International Music Youth Competition to be held March 21-29

BELGRADE - This year's international Music Youth competition will be held between March 21 and 29 at the Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade, featuring young pianists from nine countries of the world.

Govt backs Serbia's candidacy for 2017 EC organisation

BELGRADE - The Serbian government backed the candidacy of the Athletic Association of Serbia (ASS) for the organisation of the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2017, ASS said.

According to the release, the European Championship would be held in Kombank Arena if the candidacy is granted.

14.14 to represent Serbia at Venice Biennale of Architecture

BELGRADE - A project titled 14.14, designed by a team of authors comprised of Marko Salapura, Aleksandar Hrib, Jelena Radonjic, Srdjan Keca and Zlatko Nikolic, will be representing Serbia at the 14th International Venice Biennale of Architecture, the Museum of Applied Art said on Wednesday.

Election rerun in Novi Pazar on March 23

BELGRADE - The parliamentary vote will be repeated at one polling station in Novi Pazar, western Serbia, on March 23, the Electoral Commission of the Republic of Serbia has decided.

The commission said 2,371 ballots and 18 reserve ballots would be printed for the rerun of the election at polling staion 27.

Polish short films at Cultural Center Studentski Grad

BELGRADE - The Polish Short Film Festival “Short Waves” will be held at the Cultural Center Studentski Grad in Belgrade on Tuesday evening.

The festival is unique for its concept, as during March its program is shown across Poland and in around 30 European cities.

This year's edition brings seven best Polish short films made in 2013, which were chosen among 280.

13th International Theatre Festival Slavija opens

BELGRADE - The 13th International Theatre Festival Slavija 2014 has opened at the Slavija Theater in Belgrade.

The festival, which was declared open on Sunday evening by actor Tanasije Uzunovic, will showcase seven plays in the competition program by March 16.
