Dacic confers with Finnish ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic conferred on Monday with Finnish Ambassador to Serbia Pekka Orpana, Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a release.

Ambassador Orpana extended to Dacic the official invitation by Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja to visit Finland.

The visit to Helsinki will also be an opportunity for Dacic and his Finnish counterpart to discuss further strengthening of political and economic ties between the two countries, the release states.

Orpana also invited the Serbian foreign minister to participate in an OSCE seminar on building a security community, which will be held in Helsinki on October 9.

The seminar will be organized by the Finnish Committee for European Security and the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. The participants will include the representatives of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
