Greece on film to promote culture and tourism!

Alternate Culture Minister Nikos Xydakis discussed forming an institutional framework to attract foreign film and television productions to Greece in a meeting with Alternate Tourism minsiter Elena Kountoura. The two ministers believe that coordination between their ministries would help promote Greece’s cultural heritage and increase tourism.

They discussed cultural activities that could help increase tourism. These would go beyond museum visits and improving the infrastructure of archeologic sites to the establishment of electronic tickets.

The two officials discussed the creation of a work group to promote contemporary Greek culture through the presence of the Greek Tourism Organaization in large and international exhibitions and through the creation and exchange of content for the tourist site visitgreece.gr as well as the website of the Ministry of Culture.
