Olga Kefalogianni: Back in court for injunction against Matsas

Today, October 21, the legal dispute between Olga Kefalogianni and Minos Matsas continues, as the injunctions filed last Friday are expected to be heard. According to reports, both have filed requests for a temporary order concerning the custody of their young children.

Last Friday, Olga Kefalogianni was visibly emotional, speaking to journalists while crying: “Please! Listen, I am only here for my children, please, I beg you. Please respect my privacy and my family, I have two three-year-old children, and I am here only for them.”

Olga Kefalogianni: When family disputes cannot be resolved amicably, they must go to court

Last Thursday, Olga Kefalogianni issued a statement regarding media reports about her personal life and the crisis in her marriage to Minos Matsas.

“Family law disputes, when they cannot be resolved amicably, must be brought before the courts,” the Minister of Tourism stated, while warning that she will take legal action if defamatory references are made about her.

Kefalogianni’s Full Statement:

“From the very first moment the information about the crisis in my marriage was circulated, I requested that my children’s privacy and our family life be respected. Unfortunately, since this morning, the media have been receiving information about an injunction request (a response to my previous one) which, however, has not been filed.

If defamatory statements are indeed made about me, such as those being anonymously and irresponsibly spread, I will immediately take legal action. Family law disputes, when they cannot be resolved amicably, must be taken to court and not the media. As a mother, I once again appeal for respect, not exploitation. My children must be protected from the pain and cruelty of uncontrolled publicity.

Olga Kefalogianni”
