Cooperation with Turkey in tourism market

The sector of tourism "has become the backbone of Greek-Turkish rapprochement and the vehicle that brought our two peoples closer," Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni said last week, apropos of the Greece-Turkey Joint Tourism Committee meeting in Athens.

Tourism has also contributed to "the mitigation of negative stereotypes dominating the societies of both countries," she added.

Opening channels with India

Both the government and the private sector, including companies such as Aegean Airlines, aim to open the Indian market to Greek tourism in the new year.

This is a dynamically developing market, whose middle and income earners are expanding at a dynamic pace, creating opportunities for diversifying the markets to which Greek tourism is addressed, as well as boosting travel revenues.

Olga Kefalogianni: She filed a divorce suit against Minos Matsas

 

A divorce suit was filed today by Olga Kefalogianni against Minos Matsas.

According to reports, Mrs Kefalogianni took this decision after serious consideration and after all options for resolving the disputes were exhausted. She invokes reasons relating exclusively to the behaviour and attitude of Minos Matsas.

Strong Greek presence at WTM in London

The great international tourism exhibition World Travel Market (WTM) in London was inaugurated on Tuesday by Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni, as Greece was the honored country at the annual event.

Greece had a strong presence at the exhibition, with 81 Greek co-exhibitors participating in activities at the stand of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
