Kefalogianni: Positive signs for tourism in 2025

In an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni expressed her belief that tourism revenues are expected to exceed 20 billion euros in 2024.

She pointed out that overall for 2024, Greek tourism not only maintained its momentum but also further strengthened it, achieving a historically high performance in the first five months of the year, as well as in September and October.

"We expect 2024 to close as the new record year for Greek tourism," Kefalogianni underlined. For 2025, she points out that the first signals are positive.

Regarding the Ministry of Tourism's new bill and the basic regulations for short-term rentals included in it, she stressed that a framework of minimum operational and safety standards is being established for the first time.
