Sid Tepper, Elvis’ composer, dies aged 96

Sid Tepper, composer for Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, died, aged 86 in his Florida home.

 

He began his career in the ’40s in Brooklyn, New York. He gifted some of the world’s best artists such as Carl Perkins, Jeff beck, “Herman’s Hermits”, “Dave Clark Five”, “Beatles”, Perry Como, Andy Williams, Ray Charles and Louis Armstrong with some of their greatest songs.

 

Tepper composed more than 40 songs for Elvis Presley, such as “GI Blues”, “Once is Enough” and “Stay Away”.
