The Ankara Public Prosecutor?s Office has sent a summary of proceedings against the opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) head Devlet Bahçeli to the Justice Ministry following recent comments by the politician about a judge in the southeastern district of Cizre.

The office sent the proceedings against Bahçeli to Justice Minister Kenan ?pek on Oct. 8 over his remarks about Cizre district Election Board head Judge Hakim Eray Temizkan, whom he referred to ?as an indistinctive judge.?

Bahçeli could face charges of defaming a public employee over his duty.

The prosecutor demanded that Bahçeli be stripped of his immunity from prosecution over the remark.
