Jevrosimovic: European attendance record broken in Belgrade
BELGRADE - Athletics Federation of Serbia President Veselin Jevrosimovic said Sunday the European Athletics Indoor Championships at Belgrade's Kombank Arena had been the best-organised ever and that Belgrade and Serbia had thus qualified to host the 2020 World Indoor Championships.
Ministry backs Belgrade Marathon with RSD 5.4 million
BELGRADE - Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and President of the Athletics Federation of Serbia (ASS) Veselin Jevrosimovic signed a funding agreement on Thursday, based on which the Ministry will allocate RSD 5.4 million for the organization of the 28th Belgrade Marathon.

BELGRADE - European women's long jump vice champion Ivana Spanovic and men's shot putter Asmir Kolasinac were named Serbia's athletes of the year in the sport of athletics in 2014 by the Athletics Federation of Serbia on Friday.

BELGRADE - Serbia's Ivana Spanovic tops the list of best female long jumpers in the world, according to All-Athletics.com, a comprehensive athletics database portal issuing rankings since 1999.
Raovic triumphs in Prague, sets personal best
PRAGUE - Serbian runner Milos Raovic achieved a major success by winning the 400 m race at the Jozef Odlozil Memorial meeting in Prague.
Raovic, who is a member of the Serbian national team, set his personal best in late Monday's race, finishing in 46.24, ahead of Britons Jarryd Dunn (46.41) and Richard Buck (46.38).

Belgrade Marathon on April 27, gov't earmarks RSD 7 mln
BELGRADE - The Serbian government earmarked RSD 7 million for this year's Belgrade Marathon, which will be held on April 27.
A contract for financing the 27th Belgrade Marathon was signed by Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic, President of the Belgrade Marathon Aleksandar Djordjevic and Secretary General of the Athletics Federation of Serbia (ASS) Slobodan Brankovic.
