Romanian national asks for repatriation from Wuhan, China
A Romanian national has requested to be repatriated from Wuhan, China, an area affected by a new coronavirus, while two other Romanians, from part of the same province, Hubei, have been in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) through their employer.

Travel alert issued for Greece as wildfires looming ahead
Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has informed Romanian citizens in Greece or wanting to travel there that the General Secretariat of Civil Protection announced that there is a high risk of wildfires (grade 4 out of 5) on several islands on Monday due to high temperatures. According to a MAE statement the islands are: Samos, Kos, Rhodos, Saria, Karpathos, Crete (east).

A second Romanian citizen, one who had double citizenship, was identified among the persons killed in the Genoa motorway bridge collapse on Tuesday, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
No requests for assistance from Romanian citizens in aftermath of wildfires in Greece
The Embassy of Romania in Athens is focused on the events that ensued recent wildfires in Greece, trying to find out if there are Romanians among the affected persons. So far, no requests for consular assistance have been registered, according to Romania's Foreign Ministry (MAE).
