Ana Birchall to participate in COSAC debates in Riga
Chair of the Deputies' Chamber's committee on European affairs, Social Democrat Ana Birchall, in the period May 31 - June 2, will participate in the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) in Riga, informs a release remitted to AGERPRES on Saturday.

The European Commission proposed on Wednesday a draft EU budget for 2016, amounting to EUR 143.5 B.
The budget is aimed to support the recovering European economy and help improve lives in Europe and beyond, the Commission's press service reports.

EU energy chief Maros Sefcovic will start a tour of member states this week to reiterate calls for a concerted effort by EU member states to address global energy and climate challenges.
He will also present an analysis by the European Commission of each country's energy policy and what needs to be done to fine-tune that policy to the objectives of the Energy Union.
