The armed wing of Hamas stated today that the Israeli hostages being held in the Gaza Strip are in a “very difficult” condition, one year after their abduction during the Palestinian Islamist movement’s attack on Israel on October 7.

The United States has spent a record $17.9 billion in military aid to Israel since the outbreak of war in Gaza, which has escalated the conflict in the Middle East.

When at dawn on October 7, exactly one year ago, the Qassam Brigades and Palestinian civilians by the thousands invaded the territories of Israel no one could have realized what was taking place.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis took to social media on Monday to mark the first anniversary of Hamas' October 7, 2023 attack on Israel.

"One year after the horrific terrorist attacks of October 7th, we do not forget. The people of Israel have the right to live with security. We also repeat our call for the immediate release of all hostages," he said in a post on X.

Rockets launched by the Lebanese Hezbollah group struck the Israeli city of Haifa early today, Israeli police stated, as reported by Reuters. Haifa, the third-largest city in Israel, was targeted, and Israeli media confirmed that ten people sustained injuries in the country's northern region.
