ELSTAT: Greek public debt at 177.1% of GDP in 2014
According to data released today by the Hellenic Statistical Authority, Greece’s public debt totaled 317.1 billion euros, or 177.1% of GDP, at the end of 2014.
In a report published today, ELSTAT also said that the general government’s deficit was 6.4 billion euros, or 3.5% of GDP.

Jobless rate records marginal drop
Greece?s high unemployment rate posted a minor decline in January compared with the previous month, slipping to 25.7 percent from 25.9 percent in December 2014, according to data released on Thursday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).

Greek industrial production up 1.9 pct in February
Greek industrial output rose by 1.9 percent year-on-year in February after a downwardly revised 0.2 percent drop in January, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Thursday.
Mining output fell by 17.4 percent while electricity production declined by 5 percent.
Manufacturing production rose 5.8 percent from the same month a year earlier, ELSTAT said.

Record Number of Bulgarian Toursists Visited Greece in 2014
According to the latest data of the Hellenic Statistical Authority, Bulgarians made 1.5 million visits to Greece in 2014, which is an increase of 121.8 % compared to the previous year.
This double increase in the number of trips made Bulgarians the third largest group of tourists visiting Greece after the Germans and the English.
Cash crunch results in significant reduction of imports

Imports posted a decline for a second consecutive month in February, sliding 14.6 percent compared to the same month in 2014. When fuel products are excluded, the yearly decline amounts to 6.7 percent, according to data released on Tuesday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
Tourism growth at 23 pct in 2014

Foreign tourism arrivals rose a remarkable 23 percent in 2014 compared to the previous year to reach a record 22 million, not including cruise visitors, according to the Bank of Greece?s annual border survey that the Hellenic Statistical Authority published on Tuesday.

Major drop in industrial turnover in January

More visitors at Greek museums, sites
The number of visitors at Greek museums was up by 15.8 percent in November 2014, while the cultural institutions saw a 25.4 percent increase in their receipts compared to the same month last year, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) revealed on Monday.

Three out of four jobless Greeks are at least 12 months without work
The unemployment rate started climbing again in the last quarter of 2014, putting an end to a period of moderate decline. The jobless reached 26.1 percent of the work force in October-December 2014 due to the political and economic uncertainty generated by the prospect of the elections and the change in government, Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) figures showed on Thursday.
Tourism helped hotels and tavernas increase turnover by 13.7 pct last year

Turnover in the accommodation and catering sector posted a 13.7 percent increase last year compared to the year before, according to data released yesterday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
The travel and booking services sector saw turnover gain 6.6 percent year-on-year, while air transport turnover grow 8.4 percent.
