Historic Gilindire Cave reopens to visitors after renovations

The 11,000-year-old Gilindire Cave Natural Protected Area and Nature Park in the southern province of Mersin's Aydıncık district has reopened to the public after significant enhancements.

The cave, which was revealed 15 years ago, has recently reopened after undergoing extensive restoration of its landscaping, entrance, walking paths, stairs, viewing areas and lighting.

Presidential Symphony Orchestra performs at ancient theater

The Presidential Symphony Orchestra has given a concert at the 2,200-year-old historic theater in the Aegean province of Denizli's ancient city of Laodicea.

More than 15,000 people attended the concert at the ancient theater on June 23, hosted by the provincial governor's office and the municipality.

Istanbul to begin virtual pre-school classes amid virus

Education and training will be held virtually in kindergartens, nursery classes and practice classes in Istanbul to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, officials said on Nov. 28.

Distance learning in pre-schools will start Dec.1 and run until Jan.4, the provincial governor's office said on Twitter, where it shared a statement regarding details of the decision.
