Russia's Sculpture Donation Sparks Derision in Romania

Critics of Moscow's 100 euro donation called a protest on Tuesday afternoon in front of Russian Embassy in Bucharest, claiming that the gesture was offensive.

"We considered ourselves offended, so we invite you to return the baksheesh in one cent coins," the organisers said in a statement on Facebook.

The statement accused Russia of owing Romania "several dozen tons of gold".

BELGRADE -- Serbia's WW2 veterans have been decorated with the jubilee medals of the Russian Federation on the occasion of 70 years of victory over fascism.

The medals have been presented by Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Chepurin in the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Poland Denies Entry of Russian Night Wolves Bikers

Poland denied entry of ten Russian Night Wolves bikers, who are traveling from Moscow to Berlin to commemorate the 70thanniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.

A spokesman for the Polish border guards stated that the bikers would not be allowed to pass through Polish territory as they did not fulfill the conditions for entry, TASS news agency reports.
