Reception held to celebrate Greek Independence Day
BELGRADE - Greek Ambassador to Serbia Konstantinos Ikonomidis hosted a reception to celebrate Greek Independence Day in Belgrade late on Tuesday, drawing a large number of guests.
This is an important day for us, our national holiday by which we celebrate the creation of the modern Greek state, Ikonomidis told Tanjug.

"Religious buildings in Belgrade" on display at Kalemegdan
BELGRADE - An exhibition titled "Religious buildings in Belgrade- projects and accomplishments in the documents of the Historical Archives of Belgrade" will open at Kalemegdan Park on Thursday.
The exhibition is dedicated to the architectural development of sacral Belgrade.
Greenhouses on church estate in Kosovo destroyed
KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Unidentified perpetrators illegally entered a church estate in the Mogila village, municipality of Kosovska Vitina, and caused material damages to the garden where vegetables are grown for the needs of soup kitchens and the Diocese of Raska and Prizren of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).

Irinej: Kosovo is Serbian Jerusalem
BELGRADE - Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Irinej said on Monday at a forum commemorating the 10th anniversary of the March pogrom, destruction of Serbian holy sites and exodus of the Serbs from Kosovo, that it had been an attempt to destroy the root of the Serbian people and erase their existence in that area.

Concert to mark centenary of Mokranjac's death

Vucic to form government by Easter, April 20
BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic set himself an extremely tight deadline to form Serbia's new government, according to Monday's edition of Belgrade-based tabloid daily Informer.
The newspaper said that Vucic has decided to form the new ruling coalition no later than the Serbian Orthodox Church Easter holiday, or April 20.
