NOVI SAD - The Vojvodina parliament adopted by a majority vote on Tuesday the 2015 Vojvodina budget worth RSD 62.4 billion.

The 2015 budget won support of 68 MPs, one MP abstained from voting and 11 MPs at the session did not vote at all.

BELGRADE - On the occasion of Human Rights Day, December 10, the youth wings of five political parties in Serbia adopted a declaration in which they pledged to jointly act to protect and promote human rights and freedoms.

KRAGUJEVAC - Head of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) group in the Kragujevac city assembly Radomir Nikolic has been elected new mayor of Kragujevac at an urgent meeting of the city assembly.

Nikolic got on Tuesday support from 49 members of the assembly out of 50, with members from the groups Together for Sumadija and the Democratic Party refusing to vote.

Mihajlovic: Excessive use of force cannot be permitted

BELGRADE -- Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic condemned any use of excessive force.

Momir Stojanovic, the president of parliament's Committee for the Control of Security Services and a member of ruling Serbian Progressive Party, announced that the security risks for Gay Pride Parade were significantly lower this year than in previous years, and that the march will therefore go ahead.

NOVI SAD - Head of the Vojvodina committee of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) MIlenko Jovanov said on Friday the parliament of this autonomous province in Serbia should hold a vote of confidence in Vojvodina's government.
