President starts consultations on gov't formation Thursday
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will hold consultations on the formation of the new government on Thursday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 22, with the representatives of electoral lists that gave MPs for the new parliament makeup.
Decision on speaker rotation by Monday
BELGRADE- The Collegium of the Serbian parliament discussed on Wednesday the idea of changing the speaker of the parliament each year for the next four years, but none of the participants took a clear stance on the issue, so the talks will be completed on Monday.

LSV leader: Rotating parliament speaker's post a new idea
BELGRADE - Nenad Canak, leader of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV), said on Wednesday that the annual rotation of the parliament speaker's post is a completely new idea, noting that there are arguments for and against it, and that it should be considered more carefully.
Parliament constituted, speaker to be elected on April 23
BELGRADE - The new Serbian parliament was constituted on Wednesday as the MPs took the oath of office after their mandates were approved.
The parliament speaker, the deputy speaker and the members of parliamentary bodies will be elected at a session scheduled for April 23.

Vucic: Serbia will have small but efficient government
BELGRADE- The Serbian Progressive Party's (SNS) presidency reached a decision Monday to create a coalition government with the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) and to let SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic conduct talks with other parties about possible expansion of the ruling coalition.

The authorities in Belgrade have opposed the practice of Russian Gazprom, owner of a 56% stake in Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS), pocketing the entire profit of the company.
