Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk | Athens | May 12-22

Veteran French actor Fanny Ardant directs the Greek National Opera in an ambitious and unconventional production of Dmitri Shostakovich's "Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk" at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center on May 12, 15, 17, 19 and 22. Based on the novel by Nikolai Leskov, the opera addresses the subject of a woman's position in provincial pre-revolutionary Russia.

Dance Day | Athens | April 21

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and the Greek National Opera celebrate International Dance Day on April 29 early with an all-day program of events dedicated to this wonderful art form. No Finish Line | Athens | April 10-14

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is hosting the third annual No Finish Line charity race, an international event aimed at raising funds for organizations dedicated to helping children. Participants can either walk or run as long as they want, in any way, at any time they wish, as many times as they want, during the 90 hours of the event.
