Turkey, Iran want 'gradual' free trade deal: Iranian official
A leading Iranian economy official in Ankara has said Turkey and Iran have been in talks to increase the number of items within the scope of their preferential trade deal and the two sides will sign a free trade deal if these items hit 265.
Turkey: Foreign investment falls 9.6 pct in first half
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Turkey reached $6.3 billion in the first half of the year, the Turkish Economy Ministry said in a statement on Aug. 21.
FDI decreased by 9.6 percent compared with the $7 billion invested in the same period last year, the statement said.
FDI in Turkey was $2.7 billion in first two months of year: Ministry
Turkey received a total of $2.7 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in January and February, a decrease of 2.5 percent compared with same period last year.
The country received $954 million in February and $1.757 billion in January, according to data released by the Turkish Economy Ministry on April 20.
Turkish economy minister to visit South Korea to boost trade
Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci will meet South Korea's Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Yoon Sang-jick on Feb. 25 in Seoul to boost bilateral economic ties.
Zeybekci is expected to hold meetings with the CEOs of Samsung, CJ Group, Doosan Group and Hyundai to convince them to invest in Turkey, the Turkish Economy Ministry said in a statement on Feb. 21.
