Foreign investment in Turkey reaches $1.2 bln in May

Turkey attracted $1.17 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in May, the Turkish Economy Ministry announced on July 25.

According to a ministry report, foreign direct investment in Turkey amounted to $4.8 billion between January and May 2017, an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

Turkey, Austria in fresh row over coup anniversary event

Turkey and Austria have engaged in another row over an event marking the first anniversary of the July 2016 coup attempt, with the Turkish Economy Ministry denying reports that it requested the event in Austria. Vienna had said that it barred Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci from entering the country for such an event.

Rolls-Royce to provide technical consultancy in support of Turkey's industrial nuke capability development project

Rolls-Royce has said it has been selected as the technical consultant to ITUNOVA Technology Transfer Office (TTO) for a needs analysis project to assess and identify the developmental activities required to establish a nuclear supply chain in Turkey.
