President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on June 17 said main opposition Republican People's Party's (CHP) justice march would not bring any benefit to themselves or the country, warning the party of potential legal proceedings.

Turkey is set to break a new record in terms of exports, the head of the country's exporters assembly has said, noting that the export industry has now begun displaying a positive trend following the upheaval after the July 2016 coup attempt.

Carmakers were ranked as one of Turkey's largest three exporters in 2016, with Ford Otosan, a joint venture between Ford Motor Co. and Turkey's Koç Holding, topping the list with an export volume of $4 billion. 

Turkish exporters are ready to meet demand for food and water from Qatar, the head of Turkey's main exporting trade body told Reuters on June 7, allowing the Gulf state to stave off possible shortages after its biggest suppliers cut ties.
   

Turkey's cement industry aims to increase exports by 10 percent year-on-year to 13 million tons in 2017, Ali Özinönü, the chairman of the Council of Cement and Soil Products Sector at the Turkish Exporters Assembly, stated on May 16.

Turkey has launched a year-long image-building campaign to inform foreigners through chief executive officers of international companies in Turkey about the "country's reality," inviting them and their friends to visit and see it with their own eyes.        

As more and more people are coming to believe that the black clouds hanging over tourism in Turkey will not be so easily dispersed, the country is developing new strategies to achieve its $500-billion target in exports in 2023. 

One of them is the Turkish Trade Centers project carried out by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the Economy Ministry. 

Israel will provide Turkish business leaders with longer visas to the country in the future, according to Israel's consul general to Istanbul, Shai Cohen.

"For example, if one of you is involved in a visa application, it will be a three-year, multi-entry visa type," Cohen said Feb. 21 at the Turkey-Israel Business Forum organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM).

Turkey's exports rose to $10.53 billion in January, a 15 percent increase compared to the same period of 2016 and the highest monthly rise in the last 49 months, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced on Feb. 1. 

Turkey's leading business organizations have strongly condemned and expressed sorrow over a deadly terror attack in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri early on Dec. 17, which left at least 14 soldiers killed and 56 people wounded.
