Alparslan Çelik, the alleged killer of Oleg Peshkov, the pilot of the Russian jet downed by Turkey on Nov. 24, 2015, according to Moscow, has reportedly claimed that he didn't shoot Peshkov in his testimony. 

Alparslan Çelik, who Russia has alleged killed pilot Oleg Peshkov of the Russian jet downed by Turkey on Nov. 24, 2015, was arrested on April 3.

A court in the Aegean province of ?zmir ruled for the arrest of Çelik for violating a gun law along with another six suspects.

Meanwhile, the court also ruled for the release of eight suspects.

Alparslan Çelik, who Russia has alleged killed Oleg Peshkov, the pilot of the Russian jet downed by Turkey on Nov. 24, 2015, was detained in the Aegean province of ?zmir on fraud charges, according to police sources. 

Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov has said the alleged killer of a Russian pilot whose plane was shot down by Turkey late last year was "roaming free" in Turkey, reiterating the Russian call on authorities to take action over his arrest.

The Turkish ultranationalist fighter Alparslan Celik who bragged about killing the pilot of a Russian bomber jet shot down by Turkish fighter jets appeared in Istanbul to attend the funeral of a fellow militant. Russia has demanded the capture of Celik, a Turkish citizen.

Alparslan Celik, whom Russia suspects killed the pilot of a Sukhoi 24 bomber shot down by Turkey in November, is currently in Turkey.

"I am not afraid," one of the leaders of Turkmen fighters in Syria said, according to Turkey's DHA agency.

A Turkish man wanted by Russia for allegedly killing one of the two pilots of the Russian jet downed by Turkey near the Turkish-Syrian border in late 2015 has appeared at a funeral ceremony in Istanbul, saying he would go back to Syria.

Russian soldiers are searching for the alleged killer of a Russian pilot who was shot after the downing of a Russian jet by Turkey near the Syrian border on Nov. 24, according to reports by Russian media.

A Turkish man who was alleged to have shot a pilot who ejected from a Russian plane that was downed by Turkey one month ago has defended the killing of the soldier.  

Russia has set three conditions in order to overcome the crisis that erupted after Turkey downed a Russian warplane on Nov. 24 on the grounds of an airspace violation on its border with Syria, according to the country's envoy to Turkey.
