Putin, Obama to Meet During UN General Assembly Session on September 28
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Barack Obama will meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session which will be held on September 28.
The information was confirmed both by Russian and US officials on Thursday, TASS news agency reports.
Turkish PM set to attend counterterrorism summit
Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu will attend a counterterrorism summit hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama in New York on Sept. 29 on the sidelines a general assembly meeting marking the 70th anniversary of the United Nations.
Davuto?lu will send letters to world leaders before the summit, where he will call on other nations to shoulder part of the responsibility for Syrian refugees.

UN Security Council urges calm, restraint at Al-Aqsa
The UN Security Council appealed for calm and restraint Sept. 17 after three days of clashes this week at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque compound between Israeli police and Muslim protesters.
In a unanimous declaration, the 15-member panel also expressed its "grave concern" and called for maintaining the rules governing the sensitive site seen as holy by both Muslims and Jews.

Ban "underscored it is not acceptable," according to Tanjug.
