Some of the world's most famous restaurateurs joined around 1,500 mourners on Feb. 5 at the Swiss funeral of star chef Benoit Violier, who killed himself last weekend.

World’s best chef Benoit Violier, 44, has been found dead with a rifle next to him at his home just months after his restaurant was named the best in the world.

Violier ran the Restaurant de l’Hotel de Ville in Crissier, located near Lausanne, which was named the best in the world in December by La Liste.
