New Scandal Broke Out in Parliament on the Case with NDK

A real scandal broke out in the National Assembly on the case "National Palace of Culture".

Tasko Ermenkov from the Bulgarian Socialist Party accused Dimitar Glavchev (GERB) - of undemocracy behaviour, and the ruling party on the other hand  - that they want to hide what happened with the National Palace of Culture.

MPs Rejected the Requested Resignation of Dimitar Glavchev

At the end of today's parliametary debate MPs voted the resignation of  Dimitar Glavchev as  chairman of the National Assembly, BGNES reported.

114 MPs voted in favor  and 118 against the resignation of Glavchev.

The resignation of Dimitar Glavchev was requested by BSP due to that he  did not deal with the duties of the President of the National Assembly.

Bulgarian Socialist Party Wants the Resignation of Parliament's President Dimitar Glavchev

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has demanded the resignation of the Parliament's president, Dimitar Glavchev.

''The Parliament has not been working for six weeks now because the government and the ruling majority have no programme for governance and legislation'', BSP leader Korneliya Ninova told journalists, quoted by FOCUS News Agency.

Dimitar Glavchev: 'Bulgaria Recognized Macedonia by its Constitutional Name'

''Bulgaria has been supporting firmly the name of the Republic of Macedonia and this support is part of our consistent policy towards Macedonia since we recognized our neighboring country'', Bulgaria's National Assembly Speaker Dimitar Glavchev told TV+ channel.

According to his words, Sofia should not take side in the naming dispute between Skopje and third countries.

Dimitar Glavchev To Attend Ceremony of Raising the EU Flag

The Chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Dimitar Glavchev and some members of the Parliament are going to attend the festive ceremony of  raising the flag of the European Union. That announced the Presidency Press Centre, reported Focus News Agency.

The ritual which marks the Europe Day will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on May 9 2017, in front of the President institution.
