British Prince on Private Visit to Transylvania

Already a regular visitor to Romania’s Transylvania region, Prince Charles on Wednesday started his latest tour there by visiting the Gothic 14th-century Black Church built by the Germans in the city of Brasov.

Prince Charles also visited the St Nicholas Orthodox church and a museum in Brasov, according to news agency Agerpres.

Irish President Begins Historic UK State Visit

Irish President Michael D Higgins has arrived to the UK on the first official state visit by an Irish head of state, Tuesday.

The four-day trip, which comes three years after the Queen visited Ireland, includes an address to Parliament and a focus on the contribution Irish emigrants have made to UK life, The Guardian reports.

Queen Elizabeth to Meet Pope Francis

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II is to meet Pope Francis at the Vatican.

The first meeting between Elizabeth and the Pope elected in 2013 (which is also the fifth time the Queen will meet a head of the Roman Catholic Church) is due to take place on Thursday.

Earlier that day, Elizabeth II had lunch with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano.

Tom Jones to perform in Belgrade on June 15

BELGRADE - Legendary singer Tom Jones will perform in Belgrade’s Kombank Arena on June 15.

Tom Jones last visited the Serbian capital in 2009 when he put on a spectacular two-hour concert, also in Arena.

The singer’s career spans over half a century and his best-known hits include She’s a Lady, Kiss, Delilah, If I Only Knew, Sex Bomb, and Green Green Grass of Home.

Ambassador Pribicevic presents credentials to Queen Elizabet

LONDON - The newly-appointed Ambassador of Serbia to Great Britain Ognjen Pribicevic presented his credentials to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, by which his term in office has officially begun.

Pribicevic was appointed as Ambassador of Serbia to Great Britain in August 2013 by a decree of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
