Turkey Urged to Ensure Quake Survivors Can Vote in Elections

"The fact that displaced people are still unable to vote where they are is nothing more than a deprivation of citizenship," TIHV said in a statement on Wednesday.

Budget posts 79 billion Turkish Liras deficit

The central government budget posted a deficit of 79 billion Turkish Liras ($4.2 billion) in September, the Treasury and Finance Ministry has said.

Revenues grew by 75.5 percent on an annual basis to 207 billion liras with tax revenues rising more than 81 percent to 173.5 billion last month. Expenditures amounted to 286 billion liras, up by 102 percent from September 2021.

‘Digital twins’ of cities to be prepared: Vice President

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay has announced that the officials are preparing "digital twins," a simulation project formed with images from drones to monitor all the 81 provinces.

Speaking at a council organized by the directorate general of geographic information systems, an affiliate of the Environment Ministry, Oktay introduced the project.
