Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) chief, Ibrahim Kalın, recently held talks with leaders of Hamas' political bureau in Ankara, focusing on the latest developments in the negotiations for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine.

Türkiye's Agriculture and Forestry Minister, Ibrahim Yumaklı, announced on Sunday that several ongoing forest fires have been brought under control, including those in Izmir's Yamanlar and Urla districts.

At a press conference in Izmir's Karşıyaka district, Yumaklı reported that efforts continue to combat eight active fires from the past day.

Türkiye is dealing with multiple forest fires, particularly in the western province of İzmir, implementing evacuations in several provinces as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.

Kurban Bayramı, a.k.a. the Feast of Sacrifice, must be the most carnivorous of all holidays and celebrations in Türkiye. Known as Eid al-Adha for the rest of the Muslim world, it is one of the two most important holidays of the Islamic year. As its name suggests, it is celebrated by sacrificing an animal in the name of God.

A security meeting with top Turkish officials chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Saturday has ended, the Communications Directorate said in a statement posted on X.
The meeting came after nine Turkish soldiers were killed in a PKK terror attack in northern Iraq.
