Muslim family of four killed in 'premeditated' Canada truck attack

Turkish officials condemned the terrorist attack targeting a Muslim family in London, Canada, which left four dead and one critically injured late on June 7.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu extended his condolences to the loved ones of the deceased family, before declaring that Islamophobia, racism and discrimination all amount to terrorism, which must be fought.

Turkey wants Russian-Ukrainian issues settled via talks

Turkey's presidential spokesman on April 11 reiterated his country's call for a de-escalation of tension between Russia and Ukraine.

"Turkey defends Ukraine's territorial integrity and the rights of Crimean Tatars and supports the settlement of the problems between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations," Ibrahim Kalın said on Twitter.

Turkey, US officials discuss bilateral, regional issues

Senior Turkish and U.S. officials discussed bilateral ties and regional issues in a phone call on Jan. 19. 

Turkey's Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalın spoke to outgoing U.S. National Security Adviser Robert C. O'Brien over the phone and discussed Turkey-U.S. relations and regional issues, according to a statement.
