Turkish justice minister talks Gülen extradition with US counterpart in Washington

Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ on May 8 met with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions in Washington, reiterating Ankara's request for the extradition of U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, who is accused of masterminding the July 2016 failed coup attempt.

Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ will travel to U.S. on May 7 to meet with his U.S. counterpart Jeff Sessions to discuss the extradition and temporary arrest of U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, who is accused of masterminding the July 2016 failed coup attempt, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Is Gülen very close to CIA?

This is not the first contact with U.S. officials on Fethullah Gülen's extradition. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his first talk with President Donald Trump, brought up Gülen's extradition. Trump said he would have the extraction of Gülen reviewed, and pledged that if necessary he would also look into whether or not he could be tried in the U.S.

Obama-era Attorney General Loretta Lynch is calling for more marching, blood, and death on the streets.

In a video published to the Senate Democrats Facebook page, Lynch says “this is a time of fear and uncertainty for so many people… who see our rights being assailed, being trampled on and even being rolled back.”
