Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said US Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland commended, during a meeting that she had with him in Brussels, the manner in which Romania has exercised its mandate so far at the rotating Presidency of the EU Council, adding that it has succeeded in concluding 62 files pending on the European agenda.

President Klaus Iohannis met on Saturday, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, with US Vice President Mike Pence. The Romanian President reiterated on the occasion Romania's consistent commitment to strengthening the Strategic Partnership with the US and the transatlantic relationship.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will take part in the opening Munich Security Conference today, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

It will focus on the future of Europe, the transatlantic cooperation, the competition between major world powers and the cooperation in the field of defense policy.

Britain and the EU agreed Thursday to hold more talks to try to avoid a no-deal Brexit, after a "robust" meeting between Prime Minister Theresa May and European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker, reports AFP.
