Two thirds of Serbians want death penalty reintroduced
Deputy Ombudsman Milos Jankovic says the fact that the number of Serbians who are in favor of reintroducing the death penalty is on the rise is worrying.
According to Jankovic, who spoke on the occasion of October 10, World and European Day Against the Death Penalty, last year a little over half of those surveyed favored this, while now the number has reached over two thirds.

Work on new media strategy to begin "during summer"
Work to produce a new media strategy will begin during the summer, Assistant Minister of Culture and Information Milos Jankovic has announced.
Jankovic spoke during a debate dubbed, "Who owns the media in Serbia," Tanjug has reported.

No systemic torture in Serbia
BELGRADE - Torture does not exist in Serbia as a systemically organised and encouraged phenomenon, but there are individual cases of abuse, which are tolerated by the authorities, Deputy Ombudsman Milos Jankovic said on Wednesday.

Exhibition of flags from Great War opens at Military Museum
BELGRADE - An exhibition titled Regimental and Volunteer Flags From the Great War, authored by Andjelija Radovic, opened at the Military Museum in Belgrade on Friday.
The exhibition was opened on the Day of the Military Museum, commemorating August 22, 1878, when Prince Milan Obrenovic established the institution by a decree.
Over 4,000 migrants seek asylum in Serbia
BELGRADE - Deputy Protector of Citizens Milos Jankovic has said that more than 4,000 migrants from Asian and African countries whose ultimate goal is reaching Western Europe countries expressed intention to seek asylum in Serbia in the first half of this year.
