Haris Doukas has issued strong criticism against the leadership of PASOK regarding the party’s internal “reshuffle” and its parliamentary group. Through his associates, Doukas emphasized that the choices made by PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis “unfortunately do not convey a sense of unity and fail to promote the necessary collaborations and compromises.”

Nikos Androulakis has scheduled a reshuffling of forces within the parliamentary group and the establishment of a Political Headquarters at Harilaou Trikoupi for early next week. This will involve not only some members of the younger generation but also his three competitors from the recent leadership election.

Nikos Androulakis was re-elected as the president of PASOK, winning decisively in the second round of the elections with 59.92% against Haris Doukas, confirming his dominance within the party. He received 126,222 votes – fewer than the 139,000 he garnered in the 2021 elections, where he defeated George Papandreou.

From “all against all” to “all-to-all” communications, the summit battle in PASOK is shifting in the final 24 hours before the second-round polls that will determine the winner of the election.

The movements on the internal party chessboard are rapidly developing between the two PASOK leadership candidates ahead of the final battle for the leadership this coming Sunday.

PASOK party leader Nikos Androulakis expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of internal party elections during an interview with Mega TV on Monday, emphasizing that he is open to holding a debate with his opponent in the second round, Athens Mayor Haris Doukas. 

Androulakis and Doukas will compete for the leadership of the socialist PASOK party next Sunday.

Mayor Haris Doukas’ team is planning to improve his image in Attica, where he faces an unfavorable correlation of forces after placing fourth.
