“Bulgargaz” Wants a New Increase in the Price of Gas

In the application submitted to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) on May 11, Bulgargaz requested a 13 percent increase in the price of natural gas, compared to prices in May, or BGN 42.54. (excluding access fees, transmission, excise duty and VAT costs). This became clear during today's discussion on the price of blue fuel in KEVR.

First American Liquefied Gas for Bulgaria

Bulgaria is starting to consume US liquefied gas, which is a first step towards diversifying supplies and reducing dependence on imports of Russian natural gas only. On Thursday evening, at the Greek LNG Revituse, the first tanker arrived with 90 million cubic meters of raw material for Bulgargaz, the unloading of which will start today,  June 1st.

Bulgargaz and Bulgartransgaz are going to send next week their positions regarding the antitrust case of the European Commission against the Russian Company Gazprom, said Nikolay Pavlov, caretaker Minister of Energy, according to BNR.

The two companies have requested further details from EC regarding the proposals of Gazprom.
