Tsitsipas falls to Djokovic in quarter-finals

Tsitsipas beats Baez to reach quarter finals of Olympic tournament

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Argentina's Sebastian Baez 7-5, 6-1 in the round of 16 at the Olympic tennis tournament.

After a closely contested first set, Tsitsipas took control in the second set, dominating with his serve.

In the quarterfinals, the Greek champion will face Seriba's Novak Djokovic, who defeated Dominik Koepfer of Germany 7-5, 6-3.

Djokovic beats Nadal at Paris Olympics

PARIS - Serbia's Novak Djokovic is through to the third round of the men's tennis singles event at the Olympic tournament in Paris after a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Spaniard Rafael Nadal on Monday afternoon.

Djokovic, who won after an hour and 44 minutes of play on the Roland Garros centre court, is now 31-29 head-to-head against Nadal.

PARIS - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was on Thursday drawn to play Australian Matthew Ebden in the first round of the Olympic tournament.

The draw ceremony was held in Paris.

If he advances to the second round, Djokovic will face Spaniard Rafael Nadal or Hungarian Marton Fucsovics.

LONDON - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Wimbledon semi-finals after Australian Alex De Minaur withdrew from the tournament due to a hip injury, the organisers announced on Wednesday.

Djokovic was due to face De Minaur in the quarter-finals later in the day.
