EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn has urged Serbia during his visit here last week to extradite Vjerica Radeta and Petar Jojic to the Hague Tribunal (ICTY).

Along with Jovan "Jovo" Ostojic - who recently passed away - the two are members of the opposition SRS party, led by Vojislav Seselj, whom the tribunal has charged with contempt of court.

THE HAGUE - The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) announced on Friday that Interpol had issued red notices in relation to arrest warrants in the case of three Serbian Radical Party (SRS) officials before the Tribunal.

BELGRADE - Serbia is committed to finding the perpetrators of war crimes, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic said Thursday at a meeting in Belgrade with Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), who, in turn, once again raised the issue of the extradition of three Serbian Radical Party (SRS) members.

BELGRADE - In a final ruling made on Thursday, the Higher Court in Belgrade decided that three officials of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) will not be extradited to the war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, after a three-member panel of its war crimes department upheld the first-instance ruling that the prerequisites for it had not been met.

BELGRADE - Serbia on Wednesday informed the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) of a first-instance ruling by a Belgrade court stating that, under the Serbian law on cooperation with the tribunal, the conditions for extradition of three Serbian Radical Party (SRS) officials have not been met.

Serbia's legal representative has informed the Hague Tribunal that the country had launched a procedure for the extradition of three SRS party members.

They are Vjerica Radeta, Petar Jojic and Jovo Ostojic.
