Kecmanovic through to Acapulco quarter-finals
ACAPULCO - Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Acapulco ATP tournament after beating German Daniel Altmaier 6-4, 6-4 on Thursday morning.
World number 53 Kecmanovic, who won after an hour and 33 minutes of play, is now 2-0 head-to-head against Altmaier, who is 57th in the ATP rankings.

Tennis: Horia Tecau, qualified for the round of 16 of Roland Garros men's doubles
Romanian-German pair Horia Tecau / Kevin Krawietz qualified for the round of 16 of the men's doubles tournament at Roland Garros on Friday in Paris, after 6-3, 6-2 with the pair Yen-Hsun Lu (Taiwan) / Yoshihito Nishioka (Japan). Tecau and his partner, the 9th seeds, won without any problems, in 67 minutes. Tecau and Krawietz secured a cheque for 29,325 euros and 180 ATP points in doubles.
Troicki beats Nishioka to set up clash with Wawrinka
BRISBANE - Serbia's Viktor Troicki has got off to a winning start in 2017 after beating Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka 6-4, 7-5 in the opening round of the Brisbane ATP tennis tournament on Tuesday.
The match had been interrupted on Monday by a rain delay, but Troicki managed to see it out without much trouble and will face Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland in the second round.
