Two children injured in explosion of hand-made bomb in Turkey's southeast
Two children were wounded due to the explosion of a hand-made and pipe-type bomb in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on Dec. 4, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
The explosion occurred after a 13-year-old and an 11-year-old played with an object they found on the street in the İskenderpaşa neighborhood of Diyarbakır's central Sur district.

The mayors of three districts of Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari have been detained on Dec. 3, while searches were being conducted in the municipality buildings, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

19 PKK militants 'neutralized' in operations in four provinces
Nineteen outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were "neutralized" in aerial and land operations carried out by the Turkish military in the provinces of Tunceli, Şırnak, Diyarbakır and Mardin, as the army prepared to "inflict a major blow" against the group this winter, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has said.
One soldier killed in PKK attack in eastern Turkey
One Turkish soldier was killed in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) mortar and mine attack in the Şemdinli district of the eastern province of Hakkari on Nov. 26.
The attack was carried out in the Derecik Gerdan Tepe military base area in Şemdinli and army started a wide operation in the area against the militants.

PKK shelters, materials destroyed in army operations in eastern Turkey
The Turkish Armed Forces carried out an operation between Nov. 15 and 18 in the Sehi area of the eastern province of Bitlis, destroying shelters, materials, explosives and mines belonging to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, the army said on its website.

Two groups within the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have engaged in an internal armed clash, according to radio communication revealed by the Turkish military, marking one of the first of such conflicts since the apprehension of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1999.

Police detain HDP deputy Akdoğan in Turkey's southeast: Deputy PM
Police have detained a missing Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) deputy in the southeastern province of Hakkari, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş said Nov. 7.
"My friends left a note just now. Three deputies had been fugitives. One of them, Nihat Akdağon was caught by police at the entrance to Hakkari," Kurtulmuş told reporters speaking after a cabinet meeting.
