A physically impaired man who climbed up the stairs on his hands to vote in the referendum due to an elevator malfunction at a school used as a polling station has said he will file complaints against the school administration.

Journalist Ali Bayramoğlu was attacked after casting his referendum vote in Istanbul at around 12:50 p.m. on April 16.
Former daily Yeni Şafak columnist Bayramoğlu arrived at the Şair Nedim Elementary School in the Gayrettepe district of Istanbul and was initially subjected to a verbal assault.

A physically impaired man has climbed up the stairs on his hands to vote in the referendum due to an elevator malfunction at a polling station in the Eyüp district of Istanbul. The man, whose name was not disclosed, said those who were responsible for failing to provide the service "should be ashamed."

A new subway line will be built to reach the Silivri district of Istanbul, Mayor Kadir Topbaş announced on April 13.

Over 1,700 arrested over 'terror propaganda' via social media across Turkey
Some 1,734 people have been arrested for "making terror propaganda" on social media since the failed July 2016 coup attempt, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
