BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic expressed the expectation on Thursday, in the talks with Head of the OSCE Limited Election Observation Mission Boris Frlec, that the forthcoming parliamentary elections would be carried out in a democratic and fair atmosphere.

LEPOSAVIC - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received the plaque of the honorary citizen of Leposavic on Thursday for his contribution to the survival of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, Leposavic Mayor Dragan Jablanovic said.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The Kosovo Central Electoral Commission (CEC) confirmed that leader of the Citizens' Initiative Srpska Goran Rakic won in the elections for northern Mitrovica mayor.

According to the final results of the elections, Rakic won 2,778 votes which is 52.48 percent of the total turnout, stated Nenad Rikalo late on Wednesday as the only Serb member of CEC.

HILANDAR - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic underscored during his visit to the Hilandar Monastery at Mount Athos that the spiritual edifice is one of the most important treasures of the Serb people and it must not be neglected.

Kosovo, Albania sign employment deal

The bilateral agreement establishes a common labour market between the two countries.

BELGRADE - Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic and his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz conferred in Belgrade on Wednesday over the strengthening of the two countries' political dialogue and economic cooperation.

STRPCE - Serbian Minister without Portfolio in charge of Kosovo-Metohija Aleksandar Vulin stated that Serbia will do all it can to preserve jobs in the real sector in the province.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Newly elected Mayor of Kosovska Mitrovica Goran Rakic requested on Tuesday from international representatives in Kosovo that all persons from Kosovska Mitrovica kept in custody without reason be released pending their trials.

STRPCE - Serbia's Minister Without Portfolio in charge of Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin said in Strpce on Tuesday that the planned parliamentary election in Kosovo could slow down the creation of the community of Serb municipalities (ZSO).
