PASOK Elections: Nikos Androulakis first with 29.85%, followed by Charis Doukas in second place with 21.43% & Pavlos Geroulanos in third with 21.15% (Updates)

UPDATE: Nikos Androulakis finished first in the first round of PASOK’s internal elections. With 99.35% of the votes counted, Mr. Androulakis received 29.71%, followed by Charis Doukas with 21.38%, and Pavlos Geroulanos in third place with 21.15%. Anna Diamantopoulou follows with 19.56%, Michalis Katrinis with 5.9%, and Nadia Giannakopoulou with 2.3%.

Teen treated after taking anxiety drug

A 13-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Athens on Thursday after ingesting unknown quantities of an anxiety drug at a house in the district of Peristeri.

The teen was with a friend when, under unclear circumstances, she escaped her aunt's attention and swallowed several pills from a box containing Xanax. The girl was rushed to Attikon Hospital but her health is not at risk.

Authorities in Athens are seeking the perpetrators behind a robbery in which a car were used to smash through the front windows of an electronics shop before the premises were looted.

The unidentified robbers drove a car through a store in the district of Peristeri, west of central Athens, at around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, before grabbing valuable items.

Woman dies after falling off state building roof


Police in the district of Peristeri, in western Athens, were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman who fell off the roof of an Attica regional authority building early on Wednesday.

The victim, who was not identified, was believed to be in her mid-30s.

Police were reportedly treating the incident as a suicide.
