Children steal car, drive 1,000 kilometers to see Istanbul

Three children aged between 12 and 15 drove nearly 1,000 kilometers all the way to Istanbul after stealing a car in the Black Sea province of Ordu.

The minors, identified only by the initials S.Ö., E.K. and A.Y., broke into a car dealer in Ordu's Altınordu district and stole two of the vehicles at the shop thanks to the keys they found.

The coastal map of Istanbul will change and most of the places along the Bosphorus Strait will be underwater in around four decades, according to a report by a U.S.-based climate organization.

Storm and rainfall hit western Turkey

The southwestern wind, which began on Dec. 22, continues to impact various cities in Turkey, especially Istanbul.

Due to the strong wind that turned into a storm from time-to-time, giant waves have lashed the coast of Üsküdar district, and sea transportation was hampered in the Bosphorus Strait and Marmara Sea.

Gendarmerie seize at least 98,000 bullets at screw factory in Istanbul

The Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command seized at least 98,000 bullets, 114,000 empty cases and materials used to produce bullets at a screw factory in Istanbul on March 13, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The gendarmerie detained a suspect during the raid at the Kabataş industrial site in Istanbul's Zeytinburnu district.
